What is the difference between 18650 lithium ion battery and AA battery?

One: the voltage is not the same

The rated voltages of 18650 lithium ion batteries are 3.2V, 3.7V, 3.8V, etc., while the No. 5 battery is only 1.5V and 1.2V (rechargeable)

Two: different capacities

The 18650 lithium ion battery has a capacity of 1200mAh to 3600mAh, and the common ones on the market are 1800mAh to 2600mAh. The capacity of the No. 5 battery is usually a few hundred to 2500, and the capacity of the No. 5 Nanfu battery is 2500mAh. The capacity of the rechargeable AA battery ranges from 800mAh to 2600mAh.

Three: internal materials are not the same

18650 batteries can be divided into lithium nickelate batteries, lithium manganate batteries, ternary lithium batteries, lithium acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries, etc.; while the No. 5 batteries include nickel-hydrogen rechargeable batteries, nickel-cadmium rechargeable batteries, and alkaline batteries. Zinc-manganese battery (referred to as alkaline battery), ordinary acid zinc-manganese battery (referred to as ordinary battery), etc.

Four: The use environment is different

18650 lithium ion batteries have the advantages of large capacity, high cycle times, and large discharge current. They are generally used in power banks, laptop power supplies, power tool power supplies, rechargeable desk lamps, electric bicycle batteries, balance bike batteries, electric scooter batteries, etc. The AA battery is generally used in household appliances, such as remote controls, wall clocks, and toy four-wheel drive racing cars.
