What are the methods to repair lithium-ion batteries?

Lithium-ion battery repair method 1: freezing (relevant experience of netizens)


A few days ago, I had a lithium-ion battery out of service. My symptoms were that it could not be charged and the camera could not be turned on (the camera showed no power). I tried several times. There is no other way but to abandon one side and almost throw it into the trash can. Later, I didn’t know what the idea was. I sealed the battery with multiple layers of absorbent paper and multiple layers of plastic film and put it in the freezer of the refrigerator (minus 18 degrees) for two days and nights. After taking it out, it was packaged and placed at room temperature for two days. Not willing to put it in the camera again, hey, it's completely back to normal! Let me tell you all, if you have similar situations, you might as well give it a try!

Lithium-ion battery repair method two: discharge


It can be powered on and discharged or connected to a resistor. The power-on discharge should be placed to the extent that the mobile phone is turned off immediately; the resistance discharge can be used to connect the small bulb of the corresponding voltage to discharge for a long time, until the small bulb is connected to the extent that it will go off instantly. The discharge current is preferably a large current.


Lithium-ion battery repair method three: activation


Connect 12V alternating current in series, and connect a small electric bead or resistor in series between the batteries for current limiting. First, use a small current to activate, make the control loop alternating current to tens of milliamperes, and maintain it for 30 to 60 minutes, and then increase the current to 1 to 2 times the nominal value of the battery. For example, if a 1000 mAh battery is added to 1000 to 2000 mAh, it will activate for 30 to 60 minutes. During the above process, the temperature and appearance of the battery should be observed: there should be no abnormal phenomena such as hot, smoke, bulging, etc., and the current should be appropriately reduced if the temperature is too high (above 40°C). Lithium-ion batteries that have undergone the above activation treatment can generally be used normally, but they cannot be compared with new batteries!
